This module is designed for students who have completed Chinese 1 or equivalent. It develops Chinese language skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing. On a more general level, it will enhance students' intercultural skills. By successfully completing the module, you will be able to conduct simple short conversations about your daily life, leisure time activities, eating and drinking, home environment and public transport. You will be able to give or obtain information on locations of amenities, routines and schedules, and travel arrangements.Please note that if you are a Chinese National or have any experience of Chinese (Mandarin or otherwise) you cannot enrol onto this module.
Aims
This module aims to further develop the written, oral and listening skills acquired in Chinese 1; provide them with a basic understanding of culture specific behaviour; and enable them to become efficient language learners.
Intended Learning Outcomes
