This module is designed for students with no prior knowledge of Russian. It will develop basic communication skills in Russian in everyday situations such as meeting someone for the first time, talking about daily routines, family, shopping and travelling. The module aims to provide students with basic spoken Russian and with recognition skills of Russian alphabet. Students will also be introduced to some aspects of Russian culture.
Aims
This module is designed for those with no knowledge of Russian. It aims to equip students with basic oral, written and communication skills in Russian, and introduces them to different aspects of Russian culture.
Intended Learning Outcomes

Admission to the module must be confirmed through completion of a language level self-assessment formStudents can only take one Russian language module per semester.Students can only take one absolute beginners language module (90001) any one academic year.
