Keele Professor appointed as Chair of The Conversation Editorial Board
Keele’s Professor David Amigoni has been appointed as Chair of the Editorial Board at The Conversation UK.
Professor Amigoni, who has been a member of the Board since 2019, takes over the role of Chair from Professor Dinah Birch of the University of Liverpool.
The Conversation UK launched in May 2013, to provide an independent source of news analysis and informed comment written by academic experts - including experts from Keele - working with professional journalists who help share their knowledge and research expertise with the world.
As Chair of the Editorial Board, Professor Amigoni and his colleagues will help shape The Conversation’s editorial strategy, as well as representing members and the wider HE sector, to encourage the continued growth and development of the platform.
Professor Amigoni said: "It is an honour to be invited to take on this role, Prof Birch having undertaken it with such distinction. I look forward to working with all members of the Board, the Trustees: and of course, Jo Adetunji (UK editor) and her excellent team of professionals who play a vital role in sharing HE's research with an increasingly wide and diverse range of publics, making research accessible, urgent, and exciting without compromising its rigour. Keele academics are strong contributors to The Conversation UK and there has never been a more important time to support this unique platform."
