A Post Office service has returned to Keele University’s campus in a move that will benefit students, staff, and the wider local community.  

The new Post Office has been incorporated into Chapters Café on Keele’s Union Square, and will provide a range of Post Office services as well as selling a small selection of additional retail items. 

The service returning to Keele represents a major investment from the University following the closure of the previous Post Office, recognising how important the service is to the campus community and beyond.  

The Post Office was officially opened to the public this week (13th September) by Mike Farrar CBE, Pro Chancellor and Chair of Council at Keele University, with guests from Keele and the Post Office visiting the new store to celebrate its arrival.  

Mr Farrar said: “I’m really thrilled that the new Post Office is now open on campus. It's a crucial service for both students and staff as well as our local community.” 

Claire Snape, Deputy Director of Campus Services at Keele, said: “It is fantastic to have a Post Office service available for the Keele community again. Open six days a week, visitors can also benefit from the great new location inside Chapters Café.“   

Kulwant Dosanjh, Post Office Network Provision Lead, added: “We are delighted to have restored a Post Office to Keele University as we know how important a Post Office is to a community. This is especially important at a university campus where most students do not have cars and they need to have vital Post Office services on their doorstep. The branch’s opening hours will make it very convenient for students and university staff to visit.”
