On arrival on to campus, follow the signage for parking or the directions of our parking team, who will be on hand to direct you to the next available car park.

Car parking will be free on Keele campus, but please leave your car in a marked parking bay. 

We have a range of food and drink options available on-campus throughout Keele Day.

Our Smokehouse stand will be serving Smoked Beef Brisket, Pork Porchetta or Vegan Kebab Meat on flatbreads or buns, along with a selection of tasty sides including Seasoned Potato Wedges, Mango & Coriander Slaw, and Spiced Pasta Salad!

If you have a sweet tooth, we’ll have a selection of Ice Creams and glazed and filled Doughnuts on offer too.

We’ll also have soft drinks, tea and coffee, and a selection of alcoholic drinks available throughout the day.

All our Food and Drink available on the day will be in the heart of the campus within the Forest of Light, where our on-campus Greggs, Co-Op store and Chapter’s Café will also be open.

There's also the KPA Clubhouse, a social space and bar on campus which serves a pub-style menu. and will be the heart of our Family Zone activities Please book a table to avoid disappointment!

There's also Scholars Restaurant & Terrace, on the ground floor of the Courtard by Marriott hotel. Similarly, please book a table to avoid disappointment

Alumni are eligible for a 10% discount at the on-campus Courtyard by Marriott hotel. Please book directly with the Hotel by emailing sales@courtyardkeele.co.uk

In your email, please include the date(s) of your booking, your name, and state that you are alumni of Keele University. You can also phone the Marriott on 01782 376820.

In outdoor spaces dogs are allowed, only Registered Assistance dogs are allowed inside University buildings on the day. 

FREE local bus travel for Keele Day:

If you have pre-registered for Keele Day you and your guests can benefit from free local bus travel to and from Keele campus on any bus, with any 'First' company buses from the Newcastle-Under-Lyme and Stoke-on-Trent area during Keele Day (June 29, 2024). 

Show your pre-register ticket, emailed to you upon registration, to your bus driver, and you and your guests will receive free travel to and from our campus.

Many of our visitors may catch the No. 25 First bus, which travels through Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme, stopping at Stoke-on-Trent railway station. More details on all local bus routes and times can be found on the First Group website.

*Valid on First bus services in Stoke on Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme.

From the train stations you can get to Keele campus via bus, taxi or cycling.

During Keele Day, the closest car park to the welcome Point will be the Students' Union car park. This car park will be reserved for visitors with mobility issues and blue badge holders.

If you have any questions, wish to discuss accessibility around campus ahead of your visit or to arrange to view our accessible accommodation, please email alumni.hq@keele.ac.uk. 

We recommend that you come prepared for the (unpredictable) British weather and wear comfortable footwear, as many activities will take place outdoors.

Please also be prepared for hot weather by packing your sun cream, sun hat and plenty of water. 

Keele Day is scheduled from around 11:00am until 4:00pm, but start and end times may vary slightly.

You do not have to be here at the start but we hope you will use the programme on our website to make sure you get the most out of Keele Day. 

Booking isn't essential, however if pre-register you will receive:

  • Free bus travel to and from the event
  • Free sweet treat for under-14s (while stocks last)
  • Entry into prize draw for a limited edition Keele 75 hoody

Toilets are available across campus in all open buildings. 

There are gender neutral toilets in the Students' Union, Walter Moberly and the Sports Centre.

There are baby change facilities in Keele Hall, Students' Union, KPA, Marriott hotel and the Denise Coates Foundation Building. 

Photography Notice 

Keele University will be taking photographs and capturing video footage throughout the Keele Day event. This content may be used by the University for marketing and publicity purposes, on our website, social media, printed material, and third-party publication.

WiFi 
Visitors to campus are able to use our self-registration portal to access the Visitor WiFi network. 

To access the network, connect your device to the Visitor network. You will then see a page appear either when you have connected to the network or when you try to browse the internet. If this does not happen, go to this page to connect: https://cppm.keele.ac.uk/guest/guest-reg-self-sponsor_reason.php

Following the prompts for free wifi. You will then have access to the Visitor WiFi for 24 hours from that point.

Please note: Your details will be held for 30 days before being automatically deleted.

Shuttle Bus 

A FREE shuttle bus will continuously loop campus at set locations - just hop on and hop off at the stops. 

For our Welcome Point, registration, information and activity booking please head to the Student Union. 

Lost property is located in the Sports Centre 

Safety, First Aid and Emergencies 

For minor injuries and first aid, St. Johns Ambulance can be found in the Walter Moberly building. 

For any safety concerns, please find your nearest member of staff wearing a hi-vis who will be able to assist and/or arrange the relevant help for you. 

Lost children / vulnerable people 

Wristbands are available at the Welcome Point in the Students' Union, on which you will be able to write a contact number in the event of a child or vulnerable person becoming separated from your party. In the event of a lost child or vulnerable person, please inform a member of staff wearing a yellow hi-vis immediately for assistance. 

Due to the ongoing pause in flying for the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) after the tragic accident in Lincolnshire on 25 May 2024, unfortunately the BBMF will not be participating in the flypast for Keele Day.

We apologise for any inconvenience, and hope you enjoy the wide variety of other activities taking place on campus during the day.
