Where: Keele Hall courtyard (meeting point)

Emma Cronin from Wild Pickle will take you on an easy family walk to show you what wonderful edible wild foods we have available in abundance to us, and how to look after those plants so they continue to look after us at Keele.

If you joined Emma on the foraging walks as part of the Kidsgrove Canal Nature Recovery walk series, you know this is not one to be missed! Emma from Wild Pickle found fermenting and foraging were ways to create and preserve tasty and nutritious foods for her and her daughter 13 years ago. She runs workshops to share her love of fermentation and what we can forage safely and easily.

The walk will take a total of 1.5 hours, but we will not be walking for the full time and there will be plenty of stops!

Meet the walk leader at Freshers Gate at Keele Hall courtyard (we will venture into the woods).

Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

You will need good mobility to join the walks as the ground may be uneven and possibly muddy, so make sure to wear appropriate shoes. Unfortunately, this activity is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.

*There is a limit of 20 people per walk. Please book your place at the welcome point within the Students’ Union to avoid disappointment.

**This activity may be subject to change depending on the weather.
