Volunteer opportunities at Stoke-on-Trent Literary Festival

Stoke’s fourth annual literary festival will be taking place at the Emma Bridgewater Factory this summer, featuring well known and published novelists, historians and poets. Alongside the headline events we’ll be programming local writers and children’s activities. The festival staffing includes an important and much valued team of adult volunteers and students. Volunteers help with operational tasks and general front of house duties (running a total of two indoor event spaces).
Please complete the Volunteer Application Form you would like to be considered as a festival volunteer. All applications will be given due consideration.
Deadline: Application forms must be returned on or by Friday, 31th March, please.
Key Requirements:
to be available on Monday 5 June, provisionally am and pm, for a half day induction session.
to be available for volunteering on at least two of the festival dates (above), and ideally all three
volunteers will observe all Health and Safety protocols as advised at induction
to enjoy physical work – much time will be spent on your feet, moving chairs, litter, etc, and moving around the site which is extensive
T-shirts will be provided for all volunteers and light refreshments available in a rest room
Key Skills:
To be: reliable, punctual, physically fit, approachable and polite, a confident communicator, team player, problem solver, and have an interest in literature/the arts.
