Three Counties Open Art 2020: Audience Choice Prize winner announced!

Audience Choice Award winner 2020.
As part of our partnership with Appetite we ran a brand new Audience Choice Award. This award was all handing over the decision making to the public taking part in and voting for which of the 20 shortlisted works deserved to be crowned the first Audience Choice Award Winner and be awarded the prize of £250.
Members of the Appetite Supper Club – a community panel of local residents who help Appetite make decisions about Appetite’s programme – were asked to view all over 200 submissions to the exhibition. They really enjoyed this process, viewing and talking about the fantastic artworks. They then had the difficult decision of coming up with a top 20 list of works, alongside the other Three Counties judges.
We are pleased to announce that the Audience Choice Award winner for 2020 is Joan Chatterton with her artwork 'Waiting for Frank'. Joan says the artwork visualises ‘my mother waiting for my father after his shift work in the 1940s’.
Runner's up this year include:
'Portrait of Ela' by David Gleeson
and 'One Smithfield' by Julia Brown
