Development Coordinator for Arts & Public Engagement
This post represents an exciting opportunity for a creative, organised, and ambitious individual to join the Arts & Public Engagement team in Keele University’s Directorate of Research, Innovation and Engagement. The team is responsible for developing and delivering the ArtsKeele programme including arts-based and creative engagement activities to support the University’s primary activities and objectives.
This role supports the Arts & Public Engagement team in the coordination and delivery of public facing arts-based engagement activities taking place both on and off campus throughout the year working in partnership with both internal and external stakeholders.
The post is ideal for someone who has an interest in arts and creativity and who may have skills and experience in marketing, communications, and administration roles. The role is a great opportunity for someone who might be looking to further develop their experience of organising events and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
ArtsKeele coordinates a vibrant arts programme, comprising exhibitions, music, poetry, performances and other cultural events. We have our own gallery located in the Chancellor’s Building plus a smaller exhibition space in a cafe on campus, and host a wide range of events throughout the year, including a full and varied music programme, public lectures and live poetry readings.
We are fortunate to have interesting collections on campus, including the Stross Collection of art, the Raven Mason collection of Staffordshire ceramics and work with the Special Collections and Archives located in the University library. We partner other local oranisations to bring arts to Keele and across the city too and one of the annual highlights is the Three Counties Open Art exhibition.
