A unique blend of eminent speakers addressing issues that are important from an academic, research and clinical practice perspective. These lectures are free to attend, and are open to students, clinicians and members of the public.

Tommy Whitelaw was a full-time carer for his mother who had vascular dementia; Tommy now campaigns on the issues surrounding dementia.

Alongside Tommy's talk, a book entitled 'Collected stories: being cared for at home' will be launched. This is a joint project between the School of Nursing and Midwifery and Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust.

The book contains a collection of stories about care delivered at home and will be available for purchase on the night.
