Ghislane Howard
Compassion
This group of works has been chosen by the artist, Ghislaine Howard, to mark ‘Refugee Week’. The small works have been selected from her daily practice of painting a response to news media. In 2009, 365 of these works (now known as the ‘365 Series’), were exhibited at Imperial War Museum North and elsewhere. The larger works include a study of her own children sleeping and four other works that have been developed from the 365 Series.
Ghislaine Howard is a painter of powerful and expressive means, her works deal with the human condition charting and interpreting our shared human experience. For further information about the artist visit her website www.ghislainehoward.com.
This exhibition is open to the public throughout the week. Opening times 9am-5pm. It will also be available to view at the Summer Concert with Keele Bach Choir.
Organised in partnership with Appetite a Creative People and Places project.
