Join Keele Writing for an evening of live reading with well-known authors and poets - FREE and open to all. 

We are delighted to be welcoming Jennifer Wong to Keele Hall Readings on Monday 25 November 2024.  

Wong studied English at Oxford and received an MA in creative writing from the University of East Anglia (UEA). She has a PhD in creative writing from Oxford Brookes University. She has taught creative writing at Poetry School, Kubrick Poetry, Oxford Brookes, City Lit and Arvon. She was the writer-in-residence for Wasafiri in 2021 and a visiting fellow with Oxford TORCH in 2022. 

She is the author of Home, Identity and Writing Elsewhere: Contemporary Chinese Diaspora Poetry (Bloomsbury Academic, 2023). 

She co-edited Where Else: An International Hong Kong Poetry Anthology (Verve Poetry Press, 2023) with Jason EH Lee and Tim Tim Cheng. With poet-scholar Eddie Tay, she has also co-edited State of Play: Poets of East and Southeast Asian Heritage in Conversation (Outspoken Press, 2023), an anthology of dialogues and reflections by selected East and Southeast Asian poets on writing and everyday life.

Her pamphlet with Verve, Time difference, was published in October 2024.

She is writing her next collection.

Parking at Keele Hall is free after 5pm. Should the courtyard car park be full there is an overflow carpark (also free after 5pm) to the left of the main driveway as you approach the hall.
