Nick Degg - Centenary Poet Laureate and Performance Poet

Nick Degg is a Potteries poet, and the current Stoke on Trent Laureate, who takes his inspiration from the wrung out dishcloths of everyday life.
A multi Slam winner, who has worked on commissions for BBC TV and Radio and various organisations taking in the Arts, Sport and Education. In 2023 he completed an A-Z Tour of towns and cities in the Midlands and North West, all done in alphabetical order and in a Classic car.
He has also recently clocked up his 500th gig, such is his appetite for performing live!
His published works include "A cup of teeth" (2020) "I come from a Town" (2021) "Chalk" (2024) and "Chaze" (2024") He also released a CD called "Harping on about stuff" in 2020 which was recorded with local producer Jon Aldersea and has received much acclaim.
Nick's gigs are always heart warming, hilarious and cleverly resonate through his excellent word craft!
Free to attend, all welcome!
