Keele scientists listed in 2019 Global Highly Cited Researchers list
We’re proud to announce that two Keele academics have been named in the Highly Cited Researchers 2019 list from the Web of Science Group.
Richard Riley, Professor of Biostatistics in the School for Primary, Community and Social Care, and Dr Gordon Dent, Senior Lecturer in Pharmacology in the School of Pharmacy and Bioengineering, have both been recognised in the list of researchers in various fields from nearly 60 countries.
The highly anticipated list identifies scientists and social scientists who produced multiple papers ranking in the top 1% by citations for their field and year of publication, demonstrating significant research influence among their peers.
Professor Riley said: “To be listed in the Highly Cited Researchers list for 2019 is a huge testament to the platform Keele and my colleagues have given me over the last five years. In particular, I want to thank my team and those within the Centre for Prognosis Research, who work incredibly hard to enhance our international portfolio in risk prediction, prognostic modelling and individual participant data meta-analysis.
“I am also fortunate to have outstanding external collaborators who share mutual research goals, especially from Utrecht, Birmingham and Oxford, including both methodologists and clinical experts. Most importantly, I am forever grateful for the unconditional support of my wife and family, who are fundamental to a healthy outlook and work-life balance.”
