Forensic Science at Keele ranked No.1 in England
Keele University has been ranked No,1 in England to study Forensic Science for a consecutive year, in The Complete University Guide 2021.
Forensic Science has also impressively ranked third in the UK thanks to excellent graduate prospects, high student satisfaction and research quality.
The course is accredited by the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences and has a dedicated Crime Scene House that allows students to put the theory into practice with the use of state-of-the-art facilities in modern laboratories using industry standard equipment.
Forensic Science at Keele covers the entire process from the collection of evidence at the crime scene to its presentation in court. Students cover key forensic areas such as genetics, anthropology, toxicology, ballistics and arson, alongside newer fields such as digital forensics.
The Complete University Guide league tables rank UK universities both nationally and in 70 different subject areas. The 70 subject tables are based on five measures (Entry Standards, Student Satisfaction, Research Quality, Research Intensity, and Graduate Prospects) and include 143 universities, university colleges and specialist higher education institutions.
Dr Richard Darton, Programme Director for Forensic Science, said: “This is fantastic news for the Forensic Science course at Keele. We’re proud to be recognised by the Complete University Guide as the number one programme in England. This achievement reflects the excellent research-led teaching experience we provide for our students both in terms of dedicated teaching and support staff, and state-of-the-art facilities.”
Keele is also ranked 7th in England for Education and 8th in England for Medicine in The Complete University Guide 2021.
