New MBA programme launched at Keele University
Keele University has launched a new campus-based Master of Business Administration (MBA) course.
The full-time course, which will be taught by Keele Business School, will welcome its first cohort of students in September 2022.
The programme will give students a rigorous understanding of the global aspects of management skills and leadership, giving early career managers and junior leaders an in-depth knowledge of how an organisation operates, and providing understanding of functional disciplines and how they relate to one another.
Teaching of the new course will be delivered by active researchers in the core areas of management, marketing, economics and finance, accounting, and human resource management. Teaching staff are also Fellows or Senior Fellows of the Higher Education Academy and have extensive experience of teaching MBA programmes.
Students will learn in the Denise Coates Foundation Building, the home of Keele Business School on campus, offering a state-of-the-art facility which creates a world-class learning experience for students, in a cutting-edge research environment. The Business School is co-located with over 20 innovative small and medium sized enterprises who work closely with the school. This unique setting provides opportunities for students to interact daily with entrepreneurial businesses to create invaluable networks and establish industry links during your studies.
The facility includes a 220-seat lecture theatre, a ‘think lab’ study space, a Bloomberg Financial Market Trading suite, data laboratory, café, and a business lounge to work alongside business and industry partners.
Professor Elaine Ferneley, Director of Keele Business School, said: “The MBA programme provides a unique opportunity for students to work on a daily basis with businesses co-located with Keele Business School on the Keele Science and Innovation Park.
“From the start of their programme MBA delegates will work with other businesses on pressing business and societal challenges, leading to a meaningful contribution to societal change.”
Course Director Dr Akrum Helfaya added: “Our new full-time MBA programme has been well-developed to provide students with solid managerial experience to enhance their strategic-thinking, sustainable decision-making, and to support them with the next chapter in their career.”
This new MBA will complement Keele’s current offering of three entirely online MBA Degrees, which were launched last year in partnership with online education specialists Higher Ed Partners, including a core MBA as well as specialisms in finance and entrepreneurship.
