Keele ranked in Top 3 places in UK to study Radiography
Keele has been ranked among the top 3 universities in the UK to study Radiography in a national newspaper’s prestigious university rankings.
The Times Good University Guide 2024 has placed Keele 3rd in the UK for Radiography, a national league table ranking university courses based on five metrics; teaching quality, student experience, research quality, entry standards and graduate prospects.
The course at Keele is accredited by the Society and College of Radiographers and approved by the UK Health and Care Professions Council. Students study the core themes of the profession including radiographic science and practice, the human body, image interpretation, inter-professional learning, and research.
Like all healthcare courses at Keele, Radiography students benefit from strong links with NHS and industry partners for teaching and clinical placements. The School also makes use of excellent clinical facilities on campus including a digital X-ray suite, a digital health hub with high-resolution screens for image interpretation, an image intensifier working theatre environment, mobile ward imaging and a CT scanner using simulated phantom patients to hone students’ practical imaging skills.
Anne O’Brien, Head of the School of Allied Health Professions at Keele, said: “We are delighted the excellent standards and innovation of the Keele BSc Radiography programme has again been recognised. This is only possible because of the dedicated academic team and our exceptional practice placement partners, who offer students contemporary NHS placements, but also role emerging placements which include exposure to leadership and research in practice.”
