Guests invited to tour new campus upgrades and learning facilities at upcoming Open Day
New facilities and upgrades across Keele University’s vibrant campus will be showcased at an upcoming Open Day for prospective applicants and their supporters this weekend.
The Open Day on November 16th will give applicants a taste of the bustling and stimulating environment on Keele’s campus, which has seen major investment in facilities over recent years in both learning facilities and enhancing life at the university.
Highlights which will be on offer for visitors to tour include the new multi-million pound healthcare simulation suite, which features a realistic hospital ward, GP surgery, operating theatre, and CT scanner for students across the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences to practice and hone their skills across the length of their course, as well as the innovative Crime Scene Simulation House for Forensic Science students.
Guests can also tour Keele’s new Exercise Physiology Laboratory, which has been opened this year in support of a suite of new sporting degrees including Sport and Exercise Science which have been launched at Keele this year.
This continual investment in new teaching and learning facilities across campus all complement the additional investments made across campus to improve the student experience including new retail and catering facilities, and transport links to nearby towns to help students make the most of their time at Keele.
Robbie Pickles, Director of Global Student Recruitment and Admissions at Keele, said: “We’re excited to welcome prospective students and their supporters to experience Keele’s beautiful campus first-hand. Our Open Day is a fantastic opportunity to explore Keele’s vibrant community, innovative learning spaces, and everything we offer to support students throughout their journey. We can't wait to welcome you to campus.”
