Medicine at Keele ranked Top 5 in England in Guardian University Guide 2025
Keele University has been ranked the 5th best place in England - and number one in the Midlands - to study medicine in the Guardian University Guide 2025.
The guide ranks courses at UK universities on several metrics including student satisfaction with teaching, staff to student ratio, and career prospects after graduating.
Medicine at Keele also performed strongly in the Daily Mail’s recently published university guide, ranking 4th in England.
Medical students at Keele benefit from extensive links with our local and regional hospitals and healthcare trusts, providing an excellent level of 'hands-on' experience with patients in a wide variety of settings. Over 200 of the University's healthcare academics can be found working on the NHS frontline across Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent, and Staffordshire, bringing real-world experience back to the classroom with them.
Keele students also benefit from modern, well-equipped teaching facilities and teaching from research-active members of staff, as well as a small cohort size giving them deeper levels of engagement with their tutors and fellow students.
Professor Christian Mallen, Executive Dean for Medicine and Health Sciences, said: “Medicine at Keele rightly deserves its place among the best medical schools in the country. We graduate outstanding doctors who make a real difference to the communities they serve. Our excellent Keele education team works closely with fantastic NHS partners to ensure our graduates are of the highest standard.”
Keele University is hosting open days for undergraduate students at its campus on Saturday, October 12, Sunday, October 13 and Saturday, November 16. To book a place, visit https://www.keele.ac.uk/study/opendays/undergraduateopendays/
