Eligibility to work in the UK
All employees must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK before commencing employment.
Details of acceptable documentation to demonstrate eligibility are available via the HR Administration Team.
Immigration and entry to the UK is managed by UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI), a department of the Home Office. Up-to-date information about the UK’s immigration system and the different types of work visa can be found on the Home Office website. The Home Office also have a useful checking tool to help you to identify if you require a visa.
The University will provide reimbursement of the visa fees for the Global Talent and Skilled Worker visas subject to eligibility.
A loan scheme is also available for employees who wish to support their dependents with their visa costs.
