Vacation accommodation

This Summer we are pleased to offer Vacation Accommodation in: 

• Horwood Standard Shared Flats - £148.35 per week 
• Oaks En-suite - £213.10 per week
• Barnes Superior En-suite - £223.30 per week (only available from 1 August onwards)

Vacation bookings can only be taken up for stays up until 13 September 2025. For early arrival accommodation 2025/26 please email accommodation@keele.ac.uk for availability after 1 September 2025, as this is not guaranteed. 
 
We aim to send offers of vacation accommodation out by Friday 16 May 2025. After this date, please note that it can take up to 3 working days for an application to be processed and confirmed (offers for dates later on in the summer may be sent nearer to the time of the dates requested). Please do not make your travel plans until you have accepted your vacation accommodation offer.  
 
Minimum length of stay is 1 week for vacation accommodation (except where your current contract is due to expire and you require a few additional nights). 
 
Accommodation will be offered via your accommodation portal. These bookings will be payable via the Income Office/eVision and will be subject to the 7 working day cooling off period and £150 deposit. 
 
Please note that if you are eligible to receive the en-suite, on-campus accommodation reimbursement, this only applies to your standard accommodation occupancy period for the academic year. If you wish to apply for vacation accommodation, outside of standard academic term time, the full accommodation fees will be charged. 

If you have an outstanding accommodation debt your booking will be refused.

Rooms should be vacated by 10.00 am on day of departure. Return the keys to the Key Return Drop Box, to avoid incurring further accommodation fees. The key drop box is located in the welcome area of the Barnes Y Building, on the wall to your right as you enter the building. Barnes Y main entrance is an area that can be accessed 24/7. 
 
If you require vacation accommodation until your 2025/26 accommodation starts, please be aware that you will be offered vacation accommodation until 13 September 2025. For the remaining nights you will stay in your vacation room until your new room is available. There will be a charge for the extra nights dependent upon which room you are in and this will be added to your student record. You may be required to move rooms at short notice and before the end of your vacation accommodation contract. We will contact you at the beginning of September with further information on your moving date. 

Things to Remember:

• You need to bring your own duvet, pillow, duvet cover, sheets, pillowcase, towels etc. 
• Bring your own kitchen items – crockery, utensils etc. 
• If you are already living on campus you may need to move quickly and at short notice due to business demands, staff availability etc. There is no need to worry if your moving date is after your current contract ends – you just need to stay in your current room until we ask you to move (you will automatically be charged for any additional nights).  
• There will be lots of work going on around the campus during the summer – maintenance, refurbishment etc and choice of accommodation may be limited. 

Bookings for vacation accommodation should be made at least two weeks in advance since there as there is typically a high demand.

What Happens Next

Offers of vacation accommodation are normally made the 2nd week in May.  For applications made after this date it can take up to 3 working days for an application to be processed and confirmed. Please do not make your travel plans until you have received your booking confirmation.  Offers are made via the Accommodation Portal Hub page and fees are payable to the Income Office.
