Peter Cheeseman - 1932-2010
We were saddened to hear of the death of Peter Cheeseman, founding Director of the Victoria Theatre. Peter's internationally renowned documentary theatre productions, and his vision of a theatre that "springs from our contact with this community", is the inspiration and foundation of the Ages and Stages project.
We will continue to draw on Peter's huge legacy, both through our work in the Victoria Theatre Archive, and our interviews with many local theatregoers, volunteers and former employees who have participated in, enjoyed, and been inspired by, Peter's work at the Victoria and New Vic theatre.
