Romy Cheeseman
Romy Cheeseman has spent her working life as an actor and teacher. In the 1970’s she joined the Victoria Theatre’s permanent company as a performer and assisted Peter Cheeseman with the research for the musical documentary Fight for Shelton Bar! Over the next 3 decades she taught English and Drama in North Staffordshire schools, contributed to fundraising activities for the New Vic Theatre, worked with stroke patients as a member of InterAct Reading Service and regularly performed as a storyteller with the Lindsay String Quartet in their annual children’s concerts.
Since 2007, Romy has been involved in developing the Victoria Theatre Collection housed in the Thompson Library at Staffordshire University, where she is currently continuing her late husband’s work as Honorary Archivist.
