Biography

Badrieh is a chartered physiotherapist who completed her bachelor’s degree at October 6 University in Cairo (2003) and a master’s degree in physical therapy for growth and developmental disorder in children and its surgery at Cairo University (2009). Badrieh always had a passion for neurology. Therefore, completed a master’s degree in neurological rehabilitation at Keele University (2013) and completed PhD in physiotherapy at Keele university (2020). Her PhD project explored self-management support for people with Multiple Sclerosis.
Badrieh has extensive experience working as a physiotherapist in various settings in different countries (Egypt, Jordan, and the UK) and mainly in the neuro and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. She worked within the NHS for six years developing specialised physiotherapy skills including neurological skills and leadership abilities.
Badrieh joined Keele University in November 2021. Her present role includes teaching neurological and research components and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
Badrieh is registered with both the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
