Biography

Dr. Pooya Davoodi is a lecturer (Assistant Professor) in the School of Pharmacy and Bioengineering at Keele University (August 2020-now). He received his Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2016. He did two years of Postdoctoral Fellowship in Chemical Engineering at NUS before joining the University of Cambridge as a research associate in Nov. 2018.

Over the past years, his research has focused on the synthesis and functionalisation, chemical characterisation and biological evaluation of polymeric biomaterials for drug delivery and tissue engineering. He has also been working on the development of micro-patterned tissue constructs using 3D bioprinting, electrospraying and electrospinning techniques.
