Biography
Teresa qualified as an occupational therapist in 2000 at the University of Cape Town, South Africa and has had experience of working in different roles in South Africa and more recently England in an acute physical setting. In 2015 she completed an NIHR funded Clinical Research MSc at the University of Sheffield. Teresa has worked in Higher Education since 2020 and has completed postgraduate certificates in Academic Practice in Higher Education (2020) and Health Simulation (2022). She is HCPC registered, a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Teresa is particularly interested in interprofessional education and the role of practice based learning and simulation in occupational therapy education.

Teaching
Teresa has experience of teaching on pre-registration occupational therapy programmes in relation to anatomy/psychology and their application in occupational therapy practice, reasoning and decision making in occupational therapy and also preparation for practice placements.
