Prunus 'Royal Burgundy'
An attractive, later-flowering cherry with deep pink double flowers and reddish-purple leaves. The autumn colour is a exquisite wine-red. It grows to 7m with a spread of 5m and an upright habit.
It was found as a sport on a seedling of 'Kanzan' around 1985 in USA. It was introduced to the UK in 2000.
RHS Award of Garden Merit 2012.
