Prunus 'Sunset Boulevard'
A large tree to 12m, upright at first but becoming vase-shaped. It has abundant large single, white flowers with pale pink buds that come just before the leaves. Foliage is coppery when young and orange-red in autumn.
It was introduced around 1900 from a seedling of Prunus serrulata var. hupehensis raised by Robert and Jelena de Berlder in Belgium.
