Innovation Network lunch meeting

Wednesday 11 December 2024 - 1.15pm-3.30pm

Join us for lunch and an inspiring session with leaders in Environmental Science and Sustainability - George Tuckwell (RSK Divisional Director) and Prof Zoe Robinson (Director, Institute for Sustainable Futures, Keele University).

In 1989, the founding members of RSK embarked on their entrepreneurial journey. Today, more than 30 years later, the company has grown to a global organisation of over 14,000 employees, striving to lead in environmental science, research, engineering, and technical services. RSK’s story is one of relentless growth and commitment to sustainable impact, and we are excited to share it with you.

Hear directly from George Tuckwell, RSK Divisional Director, as he shares RSK’s inspiring journey. George, who joined RSK in 2008, is recognised across the UK as a leading expert in geophysics and serves as an honorary professor in the University of Birmingham's civil engineering department. His recent work focuses on quantum technology applications for geophysical sensors and data analysis. Having led numerous collaborative research projects and published over 30 scientific papers, George is a firm believer that innovation and collaboration are key to success and essential to being an employer of choice.

Leading the academic discussion will be Professor Zoe Robinson, Keele’s Professor of Sustainability in Higher Education. With 18 years of expertise in sustainability transformation and a deep commitment to embedding sustainability across education, Zoe brings a wealth of experience bridging natural and social sciences. Her work spans sustainability education, community engagement, and support for climate and energy transitions with Local Authorities and other organisations.
