Connects Network is a not-for-profit, relaxed and informal networking opportunity facilitated by number of local business owners in the Staffordshire area who enjoy bringing people together and promoting the many positive aspects of local community.

To kick off the new year, we're once again working with Newcastle Borough Council, supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF,) Keele University and the Newcastle-under-Lyme Business Improvement District, to host another super-sized session at Keele University's Innovation Centre 6, located in the Denise Coates Foundation Building.

The event is completely free, and includes lunch and refreshments.

This meeting's theme is Art in Regeneration: hear from three different guest speakers on how art is a game-changer for revamping communities! Turning unused and rundown areas into cultural hotspots, boosting tourism, and get the local economy buzzing.

Plus, public art and events bring people together, spark pride, and celebrate local heritage. Art in regeneration isn't just pretty - it's powerful!

We'll have a number of speakers and you'll be able to join any of the breakout rooms to hear their story. The sessions will be repeated so you'll be able to hear each presentation.

Isla Telford is a passionate cultural producer and events manager at Urban Wilderness CIC. With a strong commitment to bringing art into the public domain, Isla leads on fundraising, program planning, and project management.

Gemma Thomas is the visionary founder of Brilliant Bamboo and director of Appetite. Through her work, she champions sustainable materials and creative projects, fostering community engagement and environmental awareness.
