Keele CAEP at the 2017 BSP Meeting in Dundee

Posted on 06 April 2017

Keele's Centre for Applied Entomology & Parasitology (CAEP) was well-represented at this year's meeting of the British Society for Parasitology in Dundee.

CAEP has a long-standing association with the British Society for Parasitology (BSP), with former Keele Professors Hilary Hurd and Chris Arme both serving as previous BSP Presidents.  Three Keele faculty members currently sit on the BSP council: Prof is the General Secretary, Dr Catherine Merrick is the Communications Secretary and Dr is the council member for public engagement.

At this year's annual meeting in Dundee, ~300 parasitologists gathered to discuss current developments across the broad field of parasitology.  Dr Merrick and her PhD student Linda Anagu both gave talks, as did PhD students Ibrahim Ali and Muqdad Hmoud from the Horrocks lab, and Nana Andoh from the Chakravorty lab.  Several other students, including Iulia Neagu and Jaksha Chandrathas from the Price lab, presented posters.
