Undergraduate student Alex Lister blogs about his summer project in Bugbitten Blog
Keele biochemistry student Alex Lister has published an article in the Bugbitten Blog about his Wellcome-Trust-funded summer work.
The project was supervised by Dr. Helen Price, and focused on the use of hydrogels as a new model for infection in cell cultures involving the parasite Leishmania. Ultimately the group hopes to conduct research into drug screening and culturing of macrophages infected with Leishmania within a 3D matrix.
