Aims
This module aims to give students an understanding of the principles of British Sign Language (BSL), and the ability to use and understand basic BSL.

This module is for students who do not have any previous experience in BSL. Language Centre approval required.
Description of Module Assessment
1: Portfolio weighted 40%Learner JournalLearner Journal of approximately 800 words including a contrastive language analysis
2: Oral Exam weighted 60%Exam in receptive and productive skillsStudents will complete a 3-5 minute productive and receptive test, and answer questions from the examiner.
