Aims
Students will further develop their productive and receptive skills in BSL, building on their previous study. The module will concentrate on the development of students' understanding and competency in using the grammatical rules of BSL, including area such as negation, affirmation, question forms, directional verbs and connectors. Students will also further their knowledge of deaf history and culture.

Students must have completed BSL 1 and 2 (BSL-90001 and BSL-90002) or equivalent study.
Description of Module Assessment
1: Presentation weighted 50%Presentation and discussionStudents will give a 3-5 minute individual presentation, using BSL, and engage in a 10-12 minute conversation about the presentation.
2: Exam weighted 50%1 hour written examination1-hour written examination on aspects of BSL and deaf history and culture, including 15-20 multiple choice questions and approximately 5 'short answer' questions.
