The Evaluating Healthcare Services module builds on content introduced in Year 1 & 2 of the MSci Physiotherapy programme and enables the student to plan and undertake service evaluation and audit.Students will have the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills required in data handling, analysis and presentation both qualitative and quantitative.The module aims to prepare the student to evaluate and audit aspects of clinical practice whilst also developing transferable skills (such as presentation of charts, graphs and evaluation of data) that can be applied in a variety of healthcare settings and specialities.
Aims
This module aims to:- Introduce the student to methods used to evaluate current healthcare practice/services. - Develop the skills required to evaluate and report on the efficiency or efficacy of health service provision.

30 tutor led hours which may include lectures, workshops, seminars, tutorials and two hours of assessment preparation classes etc.120 hours of independent study including 20 hours of guided independent study.
