This module will provide students with an overview of the core concepts of the discipline, and act as a foundation for other modules covering these topics in more detail. It will enable students to understand the links between individual modules on their course, and to understand them properly in context.
Aims
To enable students to understand what the fundamental concepts are in computer science, and how these concepts link with each other.

Description of Module Assessment
1: Coursework weighted 100%Report (equivalent to 2500 words)Assessment equivalent to 2500 word report, demonstrating and reporting on the practical skills and concepts covered in this module. The assessment will be structured to address each of the four intended learning outcomes.
