Description for 2022/23

This module gives you the opportunity to work on a real problem/project set by a local organisation. You will have the opportunity to work with the organisation, either at their premises or virtually (through online meetings) and will be expected to work towards a viable solution for the organisation. These projects can be wide ranging and are your opportunity to contribute to the success of an organisation. In doing so, you will develop a range of transferable skills and enhance your CV with relevant work experience.

Aims
The aim of this module is to enable students to work on a live project for an organisation and to develop and apply their knowledge and skills within an organisational context.

Identify, propose and evaluate possible solutions to an identified organisational issue: 1
Reflect on the development of a personal set of transferable skills that may be utilised in any comparable organisation: 1,2

Description of Module Assessment

1: Report weighted 70%
2000 word Report
2000-word report outlining the project, underpinning literature, methodology, proposed solution and further recommendations.

2: Reflective Diary weighted 30%
Reflective Diary
1000-1500 reflective diary outlining key learning points, including the identification of transferable skills developed during the project and their future potential for employment
