Aims
This module will introduce the students to concepts of public health including: the social model of health health beliefs and wider determinants of healthalternative approaches to wellbeingvalues about health (lay, cultural and religious)the underlying principles of health including social justice.

Description of Module Assessment
1: Case Study weighted 60%A 2,000-word case studyA 2,000-word case study which explores health and wellbeing within an individual, family or community in a setting of the student's choice
2: Presentation weighted 40%A 10-minute presentation with a further 5 minutes for questionsA 10-minute presentation of a genogram which relates to the case study, with an additional 5 minutes for questions.
