Description for 2022/23

The application of level 2 and level 3 core physics to the understanding of the interstellar medium, and the interaction of stars with their environment.

Aims
To illustrate the applications of fundamental physics to understand the nature of the interstellar medium.

Intended Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate the understanding of the contents of the ISM and impact of starts on the ISM [1, 2].
Carry out quantitative calculations to support the above [1, 2].
Analyze how the above is determined, observationally and by the application of basic Physics [1, 2].
Demonstrate the understanding of the interaction between different components of the ISM [1, 2].
