Description of Module Assessment
1: Poster Presentation weighted 100%Produce a Critically Appraised Topic (CAT) in poster format. Small group work (approx. 4-6 students)Students will create and submit a Critically Appraised Topic (CAT) in poster format as a small group (approx 5-8 students). The group will present the poster to the examiner with an up to 15 minute narrative which will be followed by examiner questioning to the group (between 5 and 10 minutes in duration equating to a total assessment time of 25 minutes). The students' knowledge and skills related to answering a specific applied or clinical question using research evidence and presenting an answer (i.e. a clinical bottom line) will be explored. Each group member will be required to answer at least one question.
The student's ability to work in small groups will be assessed by incorporating a peer review component whereby 50% of the group's total mark will be influenced by the outcome of the peer assessment tool.
