Aims
The module aims to equip students with the theoretical knowledge and scientific framework required to enable them to effectively evaluate the principles of behaviour change.

Intended Learning Outcomes

evaluate the primary factors involved in changing risky behaviours relating to health and wellbeing: 1
select, deconstruct and differentiate models of behaviour change: 1
evaluate the application of models and principles of behaviour change to assess their impact on health and wellbeing: 1
synthesise information from various sources to formulate conclusions: 1
effectively conduct a search of available peer-reviewed research literature: 1

Study hours

30 tutor led hours which may include lectures, workshops, seminars, tutorials and two hours of assessment preparation classes etc.

Students are required to analyse and evaluate a health promotion strategy/strategies in the context of relevant theories, models, and principles of behaviour change.
