Aims
The module aims to produce individuals who can exert a positive influence in order to bring about long term change in behaviours that will ultimately lead to improvement in health and wellbeing.
The module emphasises physical activity and exercise as strategies to promote and maintain health and wellbeing.

Study hours

30 tutor led hours which may include lectures, practical classes and workshops, seminars, tutorials and two hours of assessment preparation classes etc.
120 hours of independent study.

Description of Module Assessment

1: Practical Exam weighted 100%
Interactive practical assessment (IPA) of no more than 30 minutes.
Students are required to conduct a specific exercise test (or part thereof) then answer questions on the science associated with exercise testing and prescription, and their role in the prevention of common global conditions and the promotion of optimal health.
