This module complements the programme content introduced in Level 4 and in Level 5 in relation to health behaviour change and physical activity and exercise prescription in specialist populations. The focus of the module is on cardiac and pulmonary populations; it will deepen the student's understanding of cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation and enable the student to analyse an individual's rehabilitation needs.

Successful completion of a minimum of 105 credits of the BSc (Hons) Rehabilitation Science at Level 5, normally at Keele University.
Description of Module Assessment
1: Report weighted 40%1000 word Referenced ReportStudents will submit a 1000 word referenced report analysing the rehabilitation needs of a given case with EITHER a cardiac OR a pulmonary condition. The case will be 'seen', and there will be an element of student choice.
2: Oral Exam weighted 60%20 minute Oral ExaminationStudents will attend a 20 minute oral examination informed by the report (Assessment 1). The examination will be a critical discussion of the rehabilitation strategy/ies proposed to address the needs of the seen case.
