Description for 2023/24

This module is designed for students with no prior knowledge of Spanish and will develop basic communication skills in Spanish in everyday situations such as introducing oneself and giving and understanding personal information about oneself, family and friends.
The emphasis will be on oral communication skills and students will also develop their reading and writing skills. Alongside the Spanish language, students will get an insight into Spanish culture, such as a variety of Spanish traditions and customs, and culture specific behaviour.
The course materials will give a basic outline and structure, and will be supplemented by other video and online materials on the KLE to practice and reinforce vocabulary and language structures.
The language level of this module corresponds to the work leading to Level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR - A1)
