Description for 2024/25

This 30 credit module will help apprentices prepare the required components needed to enter the End Point Assessment gateway. In addition apprentices will also have the opportunity to review learning and skills required to successfully complete the post-gateway tasks. A combination of asynchronous sessions, one-to-one supervisory discussions and helpdesk sessions will provide the support the apprentice needs in order to succeed.

Aims
The module aims to assess the ability of apprentices for applying knowledge, skills and behaviours of data science apprenticeship standards specifically K1, K2, K3.3, K5.3, S6, S7, B3 and B6.

Intended Learning Outcomes

Apply knowledge, skills, and behaviours of a professional data scientist in a real-work environment to achieve real-work objectives.: 1,2,3
Analyse and execute a work-based data science project, demonstrating the skills and behaviours needed for planning, including an evaluation of processes followed, and synthesize recommendations for future activities.: 1,2,3
