Description for 2024/25

This module provides a more advanced understanding of how Artificial Intelligence can be utilised in data science and enables apprentices to apply their skills to solve a data science problem using an ethics-by-design AI solution.

Aims
This module builds on CSC-20067 Machine Learning and provides learners with more advanced knowledge and skills in the applications of machine learning and artificial intelligence as applied to Data Science.

Intended Learning Outcomes

Evaluate machine learning and artifical intelligence techniques relevant to data science: 1
Demonstrate the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to solve a data science problem: 1
Use, and record in the coursework report, the ethics-by-design methodologies to provide a hypothesis-driven data science solution: 1
Debate the role of explainable AI (XAI) methods and techniques in their provision of Data Science and AI solutions that can be understood by humans: 1
