Advanced Applied Practice in Coaching, Exercise and Fitness module offers students insight into practicalities of exercise prescription within apparently healthy populations who are at risk of developing long term conditions. Offering students the opportunity to gain external qualifications, increasing employability opportunities.Students demonstrate applied practice of patient management in an exercise setting using relevant research to inform their approach.
Aims
This module aims to advance applied practice in coaching, exercise and fitness and will thereby equip students with the skills and knowledge to apply exercise principles to an apparently healthy population who are at risk of developing a long term condition. The module offers blended learning approach that will encompass external body qualifications and exercise application skills, using appropriate communication language and prescription skills for use in a public setting within populations at risk of long term conditions.
Intended Learning Outcomes
