In this module, students will be provided with fundamental knowledge on various topics related to the sports and esports industry. This includes sponsorship, environmental sustainability and policy and governance. Students will acquire this knowledge through lectures, seminars and guest lectures, providing a high level understanding of both industries and organisations. Most importantly, this module sets the scene for the core learning through the rest of their programme.Student will be assessed by reflecting on their experience within these industries and evaluating the current management and marketing practices of a sports and esports organisation of their choice, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge to applied cases.

The module aims to provide students with the core foundational theoretical and applied management and marketing knowledge of the sports and esports industry.
