This module aims to motivate and develop the capabilities of students to become active citizens in the communities in which they live and work. Through participating in the local business and enterprise ecosystem and by engaging in dilemma based problem solving, students will learn to recognise the connections between local, national and international issues, understand the contextual conditions that facilitate and hinder innovation, and appreciate the impact of their actions on management, organisations and change. Opportunities to participate in the local enterprise ecosystem will derive from events organised not only by the Business school and Smart Innovation Hub but also by approved partners such as the chamber of commerce, EEUK, Finest, Business Innovation Centre and others.
