Creativity and innovation are drivers of the economy, fuelling organisations¿ competitive advantage and national wealth. Creativity and innovation can protect the environment, enhance quality of life and provide the foundation for sustainability and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The aim of the module is to assess the role of creativity and innovation in addressing challenges of sustainable development. Core concepts from creativity and problem solving, innovation, and systems of sustainable consumption and production are presented to provide joined-up thinking on value creation and competitive advantage in the context of sustainability transitions.
